Every plan searches the same *Cores with the same engine. Plans differ on reports, usage, seats and support, and never on data quality.

FAQ
Questions about plans and billing
Do I need a credit card to sign up for Free?
No. Free needs an account but no card, and it never converts to a paid plan automatically.
Is MCP available on the Free tier?
Yes. MCP access is on every plan, Free included. Connect Amass to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or any MCP client.
What counts as a report?
A report is a document Amass writes from a plan: in Build you review the sections, press Run plan, and get a report with numbered citations and its working trace. Answers in Ask and MCP calls are not reports. They draw on your usage allowance, and the app shows your balance.
What happens when I run out of my usage allowance?
Ask, Build and MCP calls pause until the allowance resets on your billing date, and reports pause with them, since each starts with a planning step that uses the allowance. On Standard, auto top-up under Settings › Subscription charges your saved card before you run out, at the amount, trigger and monthly cap you set. The monthly allowance is spent first; topped-up usage never expires. Fair use is a separate limit: it covers unlimited reports, has no cut-off, and means we contact heavy users.
What's the difference between Basic, Standard, and Business?
Basic and Standard are single-seat plans. Basic includes 5 reports and a larger usage allowance than Free. Standard has unlimited reports under fair use and our largest single-seat allowance, for people who use Amass daily. Business is up to 10 seats in a shared workspace, with one pooled allowance and priority support. Above 10 seats, it's Enterprise.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately, downgrades at the next billing cycle. Basic, Standard and Business have no contract.
How does billing work for the Amass API?
The API is billed separately, by usage, every month. Same login, separate billing stream, so a Business subscription and an API account run side by side without double-charging.
